ESTATE Vintage 10k Yellow Gold Intaglio Signet Ring

An intaglio signet ring is one that features an engraved design. Typically a family crest, initials, or other symbolic image carved into the surface of a stone or metal. The carved design is recessed, meaning it's lower than the surrounding surface, allowing it to be used to create an impression in wax or other soft materials. Historically, these rings were used to seal documents and signify authenticity, but today, they are often worn as decorative items and symbols of heritage. 

This 10k ring was a symbol with a story, and dates back to 1890. The carnelian is hand carved with two sets of initials, and a sun shining down on a large sunflower. The absolute cutest little pinky ring she would make! (Approximately 2.63 grams)
